The Cookie Wagon

Award-Winning Chefs Chris and Mary Bandereck have been working together in various food endeavors for over 30 years.

The pair graduated from Johnson and Wales University in the early 80’s and married in 1986. Over the years, they have worked in many hotels, private clubs and food service establishments from New England to Arizona. Their individual careers have allowed them to experience and enjoy many different areas within the hospitality industry.

Topsfield Bakeshop has been serving Boston and the North Shore for over 25 years. We are a true family business working side by side with our three sons, Christian UNE, Damian JWU and Julian JWU. Robyn, our Assistant Pastry Chef, also JWU alum. Rebecca, also a pastry graduate and our Production Manager. We are a team committed to excellence and are taking the Bakeshop magic to the road!

The Whoo(pie) Wagon was established in 2007, serving up New England’s all time favorite dessert , the whoopie pie! Originated at the infamous Topsfield Fair and is now one of New England’s most recognized dessert trucks. From private events, weddings, fairs, festivals, campus events and street vending, The Whoo(pie) Wagon has expanded the brand to offer shipping nationwide and is ow ready for the next chapter in street eats!

In 2020 The Cookie Wagon was born to deliver the “next level of Fresh!” Our small batch cookies have been gaining popularity over the years as a feature at the Topsfield Bakeshop retail stores and as a fun addition to The Whoo(pie) Wagon. Look for our new wheels and new brand to hit the streets near you and the “next level of fresh” shipped right to your door!
